Even though this at the airport the pizza was amazing! They are quick to heat up the pizza and to serve a lot of impatient people. I had the pollo which was chicken, pesto, goat cheese, and sun dried tomatoes...Delish!

Stopped here for a drink and bite with some coworkers before our flight. Not my choice as I'm less than inclined to try airport Italian restos but given how busy the terminal was and folks just wanting to sit down near their gate this is how mediocre places like Boccone seem to survive.

My beer was fine, can't screw something up that you open from a bottle right? I didn't go for the pizza as I wasn't initially inclined after what I saw being served to other patrons. I ended up going with an appetizer (arancini) and eventually a margherita slice after a coworker couldn't finish their "not great" pizza. That's an understatement. The crust was burnt black and flaky and the dough somehow quite under cooked in the middle. The ingredients (apparently sprinkled by a miser) were mostly in the middle. To convert this to ratio it was 20% burnt crust, 30% dough, 50% actual pizza with ingredients (and soggy).

The arancini was alright. $15 for 6 balls. Good for sharing. Ended up eating 3 as I wanted the others to try and perhaps all get equally sick for their flights home.

If you'll try this place make sure to ask for your bill as soon as your meal arrives as it took us nearly 15 minutes to get ours. For a place called "boccone pronto" (quick bite), this shouldn't be happening.

I wouldn't find myself here again.

This place was OK. I mean, it's an airport Italian restuaruant so I wasn't really expecting much. There is a lot of room and outlets everywhere so that was a plus since I wanted to eat and work on my laptop at the same time!

I was seriously starving so I got the vegetarian pizza and it was really good. I actually ate the entire pizza to myself because I was so hungry! Oh well - life is about balance. They have a pretty decent selection of wine so I was happy when I sat down.

The service is what I really took issue with: Service was very slow. I could tell that my server was about to get cut and was kind of miffed that I was seated in his section. My suspicions were confirmed when he literally told me to clear up my tab so that he could leave. I asked him if there would be someone else to take a new tab in case I wanted dessert etc. and he assured me there would be. I was like okie dokie then. Then he left and I was basically left to finish my meal with no service. No one came to fill my water or ask if I wanted another class of wine so I basically just left lol. It was super weird/kind of sad and I never got dessert!

I think if I had another server I probably would have liked this place since it is right up my alley, esp for an airport restaurant. But it didn't work out that way.

Agitated by security and US Customs, I made the classic traveler mistake of stopping for food at the first place I saw.

A slice of margherita (cheese) pizza and a bottle of water was $12.40 CAD. And the pizza was bad. Really bad. You know the joke about bad pizza being better than no pizza? No pizza would have been preferable. They gave it to me wrapped in foil and then placed in a paper bag, and it was so hot I almost scalded my hands just getting to a table to put it down. The crust was relatively thick but as crumbly and dry as a cracker. There were some sad tomato slices and somehow the cheese was sort of melted but I could still see individual shredded pieces. It was just TERRIBLE. I ate maybe a third of it and tossed the rest. What a waste of money and disappointing even for airport food.

    Avoid, avoid, avoid. Keep walking!

I stopped here before my flight today. I was excited because I've watched this chef all over TV and on the internet . I grabbed a panini and a coffee. Coffee tasted like hotel room coffee. I expected more because for $3 it should be better than Timmies.. no the panini was kinda bla, the bread was soggy and the meat and cheese was not even on the bread. But for $17 what do you expect!
